Well this is exciting. I finally decided to get on out there and create my blog. At first I wasn’t going to do it. Really, I wasn’t. I couldn’t pick a niche. I like fashion (however, my closet would beg to differ,) music, photography (again not the best,) and food. I enjoy going outdoors, putting on makeup, playing sports (poorly) and talking about my dog. But there was something that I really REALLY liked that had a strong market, and was readily available to me. Theme parks. I honestly can’t get enough of them.
Theme parks weren’t always that available to me. I grew up in Miami, and as a kid (given that I couldn’t drive) the beach was my Disney world. However when my family decided to pack up the car and venture those 4 (grueling) hours to Orlando, we did it big. Disney World was always our first stop. You’ve got to agree, there’s something about the Magic Kingdom that will really make you feel at home. I got sort of a high just walking down main street. The parades fueled my addiction. I couldn’t get enough.
At Universal, I had to make sure I wasn’t dreaming when I came face to face with a dinosaur. There I was, minding my own business and all of a sudden a man walked up with a baby triceratops. Seaworld filled me with wonder. I have always liked marine life, and so getting to be up close and personal with stingrays and sharks was an all time high for my childhood.
When I first visited Busch Gardens, I was extremely weary of what I would experience. During that trip, I experienced my first roller coaster (spoiler alert: I was not a fan at first) and saw a lion right along side my safari jeep. It was an experience I will never forget. When my family finally moved to Orlando, and I was old enough to leave the nest, I began my journey as a theme park enthusiast. I wanted a space where I could express that love and hopefully shed some life on the industry.
So here we are. I decided to create this blog to hopefully share some of my life stories, advice, theme park tips and new experiences with you all. My life has been a series of ups and downs, quick turns and loop-dee-loops, but somehow I seem to come out alright. I hope you stay and read awhile, and join me while I live life by the Seat Of My Pants.
